The El Pluga Sports model rates every NHL team Elo-style, starting each season at 1500 and updating after every final score, weighted by margin of victory. The published fair line for each game applies home advantage (about 65 rating points) and subtracts the current injury penalty before converting to a spread. When that fair spread differs from the sportsbook line by 2+ points, the game is flagged on our NHL board.
